Managing Learning Vendors using Learning Data

calendarTuesday, April 6th 2021, 04:00 PM - 05:00 PM Eastern Timezon

MTM learning evaluation data can answer questions like such as: How are my instructor performing? Is learning being applied? Learning evaluation data can also help us identify if our vendors are meeting performance expectations. Is a course we have purchased showing us a return on investment? Are these materials applicable to our learners? Which learning vendors are performing up to expectation? Although learning evaluation data can be used to strengthen learning vendor partnership, it can also be used in validating a decision to discontinue a vendor relationship.

Join us, as Kim Plue of Omnicom Media Group shares how they have leveraged both positive and negative learning evaluation data to manage their learning vendor relationships.

Most importantly, overall course scores for many programs are rising, specifically for our team.

Come hear the critical drivers of success that helped transition the measurement processes from unremarkable and somewhat useful to relevant and essential to success. Survey results provided deeper insights, and the ROI results were surprisingly negative.

Running L&D Like a Business by Focusing on Metrics

calendarTuesday, March 24th 2020, 04:00 PM - 05:00 PM Eastern Timezon

What happens when a district sales manager takes over a sales L&D group? Amazing things. Foremost, he focused on answering the main question that the c-suite asks: What is L&D providing in return for the company’s investment? When he was a sales leader, the competitive nature of sales drove him and his colleagues to monitor their numbers, strive to exceed their goals, and outpace each other. Bringing that same metrics-focused mentality to L&D allowed Adrian and his team to achieve several things. First they gained insights about the quality of their programs. L&D managers used this to adjust courses that were underperforming. Second, he focused on metrics that align to the business. One interesting and important metric, revenue per instructor for external courses, shows the power of measuring and monitoring; revenue has risen from $3.4M to $3.8M to $4.2M over the past three years. Third, he gathered data from various systems to create a standard and thorough dashboards that shows business leaders how L&D is performing against the plan and helping the business achieve goals.

In this webinar the Fresenius team will share the following recommendations: communicate, build the onion, meet your friends—the skeptics, make it about the data, and know when to jump. Apply these recommendations to help build support for your measurement practices along your journey.
